Student Achievement Measures

At Mott Middle College, students are assessed in a variety of ways. Mott Middle College teachers prioritize the use of performance and real world-based assessments to accomplish a real task. Students are required to keep portfolios that include examples of their best work, certificates of recognition, and other documents of their academic and nonacademic achievements.

Learning

Students demonstrate learning outcomes via the completion of a variety of projects or offering a solution to current world problems, i.e., letters to the editor, reports, and proposals presented to community agencies and leaders, all school performances, etc.

Internship

All Mott Middle College students must successfully complete an internship with an employer. To be on the Mott Middle College Honor Roll, students must achieve at least a 3.0 high school GPA, without any no-credits (N/C), for an eight-week marking period.

Dual Enrollment

100% of Mott Middle College students are dual enrolled during their high school career. Mott Middle College also monitors students' incoming versus exiting high school GPAs, and dropout statistics.
